The LL Inspectorate of Constabulary provides inspection and assurance of police effectiveness, efficiency, conduct and relevant policing standards within its established remit.
Its inspection findings must be independent and supported by authorised inspection evidence. It is not a police force and cannot direct individual criminal investigations or appoint police officers.
